Lately I have been working on connecting the anatomy of a cell in biology to sociology and psychology in a way that maps out how a society should and shouldn’t function. I think there is potential in this but I have had people reject the idea and called it “pointless” and “stoner talk”. Anyway what are your thoughts on this concept? Do you see potential in this?

Hello speaks and every1 As a senior lecturer in psychology and philosophy, I find your idea of comparing cell structures to how societies work very interesting. This approach shows how biology and social systems are connected, suggesting that the way cells function at a small level can reflect how societies operate at a larger level. From a philosophical standpoint, this aligns with systems theory and holism, meaning we should see things as complete entities rather than just groups of parts. Just like cells work together in an organism, people and communities interact in society, giving us useful insights into social behaviors and rules. Some may call your ideas "pointless," but history shows that new theories often face skepticism before being accepted. To make your argument stronger, try using clear examples and real evidence, like how teamwork among cells is like cooperation in society or how issues like cancer can mirror problems in communities. Your idea could spark important conversations between biology, psychology, and sociology, leading to fresh perspectives on societal health. Instead of seeing rejection as a setback, view it as a chance to improve your thoughts and engage with critics in a constructive way, enhancing the discussion around your work. Regards February

Thank you for that 🙏 What I’m doing right now to put my ideas out there in a way that is more acceptable is in science fiction. Often things in science fiction become true and I hope people will consider the idea of this down the road. I get people looking at it and being supportive of it in this form, we’ll see what happens as more people are introduced to these ideas. In the meantime I’m doing my research on basic cell biology, sociology and psychology, my education is limited so I’m doing my best.
